The Maison Story
Maison Pest Control is a family-run pest control business based on the Gold Coast, working across the entire Coast and into Tweed Heads and Northern NSW. We're not a franchise or a call-centre operation routing your job out to whichever subcontractor is on shift — we're a small family operation where the person who answers the phone is the person who runs the business, and the person who turns up at your place is the licensed technician doing the work.
The name Maison is French for home. It reflects what we're actually doing — protecting Gold Coast homes, businesses and rentals from pests, and treating every property we work on the same way we'd treat our own.
We started Maison because we'd seen too many Gold Coast families and tenants getting the runaround from larger operators — overpriced quotes that hide what's actually included, technicians swapped out between visits, scripted phone trees, and treatments that didn't last. The market needed someone who'd just turn up, do the work properly, charge a fair price, and stand behind it. So that's what we do.

Maison runs a single-technician model — our licensed pest management technician carries out every job personally. For commercial clients, this means the same person knows your premises across every scheduled visit, builds up a real understanding of your pest pressure points, and writes service reports based on direct site experience rather than handover notes. For residential clients, it means the same face at the door each time you book us.

Termite work is the one exception to our scope — we hold a general pest licence, not a timber pest licence. For suspected termite activity we'll refer you to a licensed timber pest specialist we trust on the Coast rather than take on work we shouldn't be doing.

The pest control market on the Gold Coast is dominated by a few national franchises and a long tail of smaller operators of mixed quality. Our positioning is deliberate and it's based on what customers told us they actually wanted but couldn't find:

For commercial clients, the documentation depth matters as much as the treatment itself. ACQSC assessors, Council Environmental Health Officers, HACCP auditors, ACECQA Authorised Officers and body corporate committees all expect specific paperwork. We supply the lot:
- QLD Pest Management Technician Licence — PMT 1005380615. Verifiable on the Queensland Health licensing register.
- NSW Pest Control Licence — covers all work in Tweed Heads, Banora Point, Kingscliff, Cabarita Beach and Northern NSW
- Australian Business Number — ABN 96 619 734 011
- $5 million Public Liability Insurance — issued through Youi, certificate of currency available to commercial clients on request, supplied annually with renewal certificates sent automatically to body corporate and commercial contract holders
- Quality Management System — internal QMS-MPC-001, providing documented procedures across every aspect of service delivery
- Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) suite — task-specific SWMS documents for high-risk work activities, available for commercial client review
- Risk Assessment Register — documented hazard identification and control measures kept current
- APVMA-registered chemicals only — every product applied is registered with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority
- Activity Risk Management Plans and pre-treatment advice notices supplied per the QLD Medicines and Poisons Pest Management Activities Regulation 2021 for all sensitive-place clients (childcare, aged care, schools, food premises)
- Garrards-supplied chemicals — we use Australia's leading professional pest management supplier, not consumer-grade product
The QMS, SWMS and Risk Register are available on request for commercial clients during procurement or contract review. Most small Gold Coast pest control operators can't produce these documents at all — having them ready is one of the reasons commercial buyers move to us from larger contractors.

We service the entire Gold Coast — from Coomera and Pimpama in the north through to Coolangatta on the QLD/NSW border — plus Tweed Heads, Banora Point, Kingscliff, Cabarita Beach and Murwillumbah in Northern NSW. High-volume work zones include Robina, Surfers Paradise, Burleigh Heads, Southport, Broadbeach, Coomera and Helensvale. - Environmental responsibility. Targeted treatment rather than blanket spraying. Lower-toxicity products as default in childcare, aged care and food premises. Bait and station systems where they reduce environmental load without compromising effectiveness.
